You will wake up to the smell of fresh-baked bread out of the wood oven, go for walks in our garden while hearing the bird's chirping melodies or the music of the waterfalls at ‘Fonte dell' Usignolo’, learn the story behind centuries-old ancient stones, or enjoy a fine wine watching the sunset.

Heating systems that use hazelnut shells from local farmers as it's a natural eco-friendly fuel not subjected to any chemical process.

Water from our own fountain that gets purified with charcoal as it absorbs impurities without eliminating its minerals.

MARCO UNGARO
I'm an architect, a connoisseur of art, food and beautiful places, an intellectual with a lot of passions.
I like to tell stories and share an experience, a vision or a sensation. Each place can give you an image, a scent, a sound, a feeling, a vibration. They all have a recent or ancient story to tell so for me finding the connection with a place is very important since that will give you the possibility to listen to its tale.
Many years ago, during one of my Sunday travel in search of the "vanished Rome" I found this amazing area called "Tuscia".
It was very easy to picture myself living near the Rome but far enough to feel its soul without the noise of a busy place like the Eternal City; and that’s when I got the idea to restore this beautiful little piece of "Trastevere" surrounded by nature and turn it into a place to share my passion with enthusiast travelers.
After ten years of tailored restoration, Fonte Dell’Vsignolo welcomes you as a place to relax, interact with nature, unwind from the rhythm of the city and to live the stories this amazing place has to tell.

Fonte dell Vsignolo is a beautiful ancient house, with two little casino’s about 65 km north of Rome near the beautiful Lago di Vico. The whole place is stunningly restored, designed and decorated by the two lovely owners Marco and Sanne. Their exquisite taste goes ways beyond architecture - wines, food, dinner, recommendations for special places, they help you with anything you need. Sanne’s breakfast, which we had in our own private backyard, was nothing short of amazing. Fresh homemade bread, pancakes, jams, homemade sweets, fresh juice, whatever you wish, will be there for you. You’ll be in for a very special treat. They were my accomplices and helped me tremendously to set up my proposal, with a very very romantic private fine dining dinner in their own little courtyard. They will forever have a special place in our hearts.
